A teaser visual for the TV anime “Darwin Incidents” has been released, indicating that it is currently in production. Information on the main staff has also been revealed, and it has been revealed that the director will be Naokatsu Tsuda, who served as the supervisor of films such as “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.” Director Tsuda also provided comments.
“Darwin Incident” is a human and non-human drama by Shun Umezawa that is being serialized in Kodansha’s monthly comic magazine “Afternoon.” The film depicts Charlie, a “humanzee” born between a man and a chimpanzee, as he faces the problems faced by humans, such as “terrorism,” “flaming,” and “discrimination,” as a “non-human.”
The cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 1.6 million copies, and has won the Grand Prize of the Manga Awards 2022, the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival, and the 2nd place in the Recommended Comics 2022 chosen by the publisher’s comic staff. It shone. It has won all sorts of manga awards, including winning the Asian section of the “BD Gest’Arts” held at the 50th Angoulême International Manga Festival in France, and is very popular not only in Japan but also overseas.

It has also been revealed that the main staff will be Naokatsu Tsuda, who was the general director of the TV anime “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind” and other works. The series director will be Katsuichi Nakayama, deputy director of “Evangelion: Rebuild of Evangelion: Ha-Q”, and Shinichi Inozume of “PERSONA5 the Animation” will be in charge of series composition. Character design is by Shinpei Tomooka of “Build Divide”, and production is by Bellnox Films. Director Tsuda also provided comments.
