“Golden Kamuy” is a TV anime based on the blockbuster manga by Satoru Noda that was serialized in “Weekly Young Jump”. The story revolves around Saichi Sugimoto, a hero of the Russo-Japanese War known as “Immortal Sugimoto,” and Ashipa (Li)pa, an Ainu girl who became his partner, as they fight for survival over gold stolen from the Ainu. .

The original work won the Manga Grand Prize at the 2016 Manga Grand Prize and the 22nd Osamu Tezuka Cultural Award, and the series has sold over 27 million copies with 31 volumes of comics already published. Even after eight years of serialization, it continues to capture the hearts of many fans. The TV anime series has been developed since the first season aired in April 2018, and has also been made into a live-action movie. The first drama series version, which is a sequel to the live-action movie, will be broadcast from October 2024, and the TV anime will reach its final chapter after a total of four seasons.
