It has been revealed that the manga “Canan-sama is Just a Choro,” which is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine,” will be made into a TV anime in 2026. The animation will be produced by Studio KAI. With the announcement, a teaser visual was released, and original illustrations and comments from the original author, nonco, have also arrived to celebrate the anime adaptation.
“Canan-sama is Just a Choro” is a romantic comedy about a cute and cute devil’s first love, serialized by nonco in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. This story depicts the story of Sakuya Yoji, a natural positive high school boy, and Canaan, a gourmet demon who lands at a high school in the human world to eat a young, sweet soul, and signs a lover contract, living a sweet and sour youth and gag-filled life.
Since its serialization began in 2022, it has captivated readers all over the country with its delicate and beautiful character illustrations and the overwhelming “cute cuteness” of the story. Volume 8 of the comics are on sale, with the latest volume 9 coming out on April 16th, 2025.
