Autumn anime “Chi. -About the Movement of the Earth-” has released the synopsis and preliminary scene cut of episode 8, “I Must Become Icarus,” which will be broadcast on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
“blood. “About the Earth’s Movements” is written by Uoto, a young genius writer who has won numerous awards including the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Awards, and is based on his belief in proving the heliocentric theory. This is a TV anime based on a manga that tells the story of those who risked their lives.
The setting is a certain European country in the 15th century. At a time when the “heliocentrism” theory, which states that the earth is the center of the universe and the planets move around it, was considered to be the truth of the world, and it was a serious crime to believe or research anything that overturned that theory, a child prodigy Rafau learns of the possibility of the “heliocentrism” from the words of the mysterious scholar Hubert.
He was said to be a genius by those around him, and he developed an intense intellectual curiosity that was irresistible. “What do I have to sacrifice to know everything about this world?” The fate that awaits Rafau, who risks his “knowledge,” “blood,” and even his life to prove the “Earth” theory. What is it?
Episode 8 “I have to become Icarus” synopsis
Badeni and Okuji come in contact with Yolenta, who has solved a difficult astronomical problem.
Yolenta denies it, saying, “I didn’t write it,” but Badeni sees through her intelligence. Yolenta is shaken by Badeni’s offer to collaborate on research on the heliocentric theory.
The reason for her hesitation is not only that it is ideologically taboo, but also the presence of Count Piast, the director of the Astronomical Research Institute and an authority on astronomy.

Broadcast starts on NHK General TV from 11:45 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
First episode 1, 2 episodes will be broadcast consecutively *Broadcast schedule is subject to change.
