Eight items designed by Sakura Momoko and sock shop “Chibi Maruko-chan” and “Koji Koji” are on sale

Chibi Maruko-chan and Koji Koji collaborate with Socks Shop, a sock specialty store. Eight items will be on sale, including characters that appear in “Chibi Maruko-chan” and “Koji Koji.”

Chibi Maruko-chan, based on the original work by Sakura Momoko, is a heartwarming work that depicts the daily lives of a third-grade elementary school student, Maruko, the second daughter of a family member of the Sakura family who lives there, and her family and friends, in a fun, interesting, and sometimes sad way. It began serialization in Ribon (Shueisha) in 1986, and in 2021 it celebrated its 35th anniversary. All 18 volumes of the original comic are now on sale. The total number of copies sold exceeded 35 million (including the digital version), and the overseas version was also published in Asian countries and France. TV anime began airing in 1990, and is currently airing on the Fuji TV network every Sunday at 6pm. It has been broadcast overseas, including in the Chinese region, and has captivated people of all ages and has been loved for a long time.

Kojikoji, also depicted by Sakura Momoko, is the definitive fantasy and nonsense jokes. The setting is a fairy tale country where characters with the mission of “funeraling humans” live. This work depicts the daily life of Kojikoji, an unidentified space life form of unknown age and gender, and his strange friends. The anime began airing in 1997 and ran a long run of 101 episodes.

This collaboration with the “Sock Shop” will be the second time, following the successful reception in 2024.

The “Chibi Maruko-chan Gingham Embroidered Short Socks” and “Koji Koji Multi-Border Embroidered Socks” feature embroidery of characters on socks with each pattern. Maru-chan has a cute big ribbon. Kojikoji is also paying attention to the colour scheme of patterns that reminiscent of Kojikoji.

“Chibi Maruko-chan Manga Tag Socks” and “Koji Koji Manga Tag Socks” are a frame from the original manga with a printed name tag. The base Amerib socks are color schemes of Maru-chan and Tama-chan’s clothes inspired by Koji Koji’s character colors.

“Chibi Maruko-chan All-Out-Dress Socks” and “Koji Koji All-Out-Dress Socks” have a pop all-over design with character logos scattered throughout, making them cute from anywhere!

The “Chibi Maruko-chan Print Socks” and “Koji Koji Print Socks” have a design that looks like pop stickers are attached. The smallest details are printed, making this a irresistible pair of shoes for fans.

Those who purchase over ¥2,750 (tax included) including these collaboration socks will receive a first-come, first-served “Chibi Maruko-chan” and “Koji Koji” sock-shaped keychain.
