“Detective Conan” Aoyama Gosho designs a “Charie T-shirt”! Nippon TV’s “24-Hour TV” aired on August 30th and 31st

Nippon Television’s charity program “24 Hour TV 48 – Love Saves the Earth” will be broadcast on August 30th and 31st, 2025. It has been revealed that Aoyama Gosho of Detective Conan has designed the annual “chari T-shirt” this year, with the theme of “Tell me about you.” The five members of the “Boys Detective Group” are depicted from “Detective Conan,” and Aoyama also reveals his feelings.

The theme of this 24-hour television was “Tell me about you.” “Discrimination,” “poverty,” and “disparity” that never disappears… This program, which saw the underlying cause of these problems as “indifference to others,” states that first, “knowing” the problems that people around them face, and “knowing” about their own difficulties in life, should make this world more kind. It expresses the desire to “delivery such a kind future” to children.”

The design of the “Charie T-shirt” was based on the desire to ask someone who sympathizes with this “feeling” and willing to walk with him, and this has led to an offer to Aoyama Gosho, who has been at the forefront of the manga world and has influenced many children. Aoyama also sympathized with the program’s concept and agreed to the design.

Aoyama portrays five members of the “Boys Detective Group,” the main characters of “Detective Conan.” The story depicts the man walking while talking about things like, “I heard rumors about a ghost house!” and “Let’s go!” In an interview prior to the presentation, in an interview at work, he looked embarrassed, saying, “It’s messy, but I’m sitting there…!”, and also talked about his feelings he put into the design.

Regarding the reason he took on the design of the “Charie T-shirt,” he said, “24 Hour TV is a program I’ve been watching since I was a child. I remember that it was broadcasting an original anime featuring Tezuka Osamu’s characters,” and talked about his surprising relationship with 24 Hour TV over the years.

When asked, “What are the thoughts that you put into this year’s design?”, he replied, “What I wanted to convey to not only children but also adults is that by talking together, you can enjoy the world. Life is more fun to walk while talking to friends rather than just being locked up on your own,” he revealed that he drew the same message.

On the other hand, it is also eye-catching that of the five members of the Boy Detectives depicted, Conan is the only one with no lines. Regarding this, he stated that when drawing Detective Conan, he has no intention of making it “for children.” Even if children do something unfair, they will soon realize it. That’s why I wanted Conan to imagine the story that follows without giving them any lines.” He stated that it contains the unique feelings of Aoyama, who knows children’s imaginations well.

The “Challenge T-shirt” produced by Aoyama is available in five colors: yellow, blue, white, pink, and purple, and will be available from July 1st.

In addition, an exclusive interview with Aoyama will be held on “DayDay.” starting today at 9am. An interview with Aoyama by announcer Mizuto Asami, who fired into his workplace on behalf of the program, will be broadcast, so Aoyama fans and Detective Conan fans should definitely check it out.
