238th Anime Style Event We’ve researched so far: “The Nagiko of the Squirrel Color” 12. Let’s try and see how much we can read from a thousand-year-old texts
Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
The title of the next film, which is currently being produced by director Katabuchi Sunao, is “The Nagiko of the Squirrel Colors.” It seems to be a work set in the Heian period.
In the production of “The Squirrel Colored Nagiko,” director Katabuchi is working with his staff to conduct research into life during the Heian period. The results of the research will be presented in the talk event series “The “The Squirrel Colored Nagiko” (previously held under the title “The Next Work of Director Katabuchi Sunao, who has researched so far”).
On Saturday, May 17th, we will be holding the “12 “The Crocodile Colored Nagiko that I’ve researched so far” at noon. The subtitle is “Let’s try and see how much we can read from a thousand years ago.” This time, the theme is the text written a thousand years ago. For example, the event will be a trigger for discussion, such as, “Why is there a sentence like this here?” or “Why is this a random dragonfly?” and then proceed from there. What topics will come up? The Anime Tiles Editorial Department is also looking forward to it.
This time, the cast will be directed by Katabuchi and Maeno Hidetoshi. The listener will be I am Anime Editor-in-Chief Oguro. The venue is Asagaya Loft A. This event will also involve a short “after talk” session after the “main part.” There is also streaming, but only the main part will be streamed. Aftertalk can only be viewed by customers who have come to the venue.
The stream will be broadcast on LOFT CHANNEL in real time, and will be streamed on I am Anime Channel after being distributed on TwitCasting’s archives. In addition, TwitCasting broadcasts have a system called “donation”. Proceeds from “donations” will also be allocated to performers and the I am Anime editorial department. I am Anime Channel streaming can be viewed by channel members. In addition, previous “I’ve researched so far” events can be viewed on the I am Anime Channel.
Tickets will be on sale from 7pm on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025. For ticket information, please see the Loft Group page below.

■About I am Anime talk events
Unlike the series of talk events held by the I am Anime Editorial Department, unlike the ones that were shown up by eventers, they are very simple, with stories about creators or fan talk as the main focus. Most of the performers are not used to talking in public, and there may be some shortcomings in terms of progression and composition. I would like to decline this in advance.
