The movie “Detective Conan: One-Eyed Afterimage (Flashback of Cough Cancer)” will be released on April 18, 2025. It has been revealed that the date has changed on the first day of its release, and that the fastest screening will be held in the world.

Detective Conan, whose comics by Aoyama Gosho exceeded 106 volumes, has sold over 270 million copies worldwide, and the TV anime series has also exceeded 1.100 times, so its momentum remains unavoidable. The movie version, the 27th installment of Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Goryo (100 Mandollar Michishirube), released in 2024, marking its 30th anniversary, has surpassed box office sales of 15.8 billion yen, reaching an unprecedented record of breaking the highest box office gross in the series’ history.

The latest movie, Detective Conan: One-Eyed Afterimage (Flashback of Cage Cancer), is set in a snowy mountain in Nagano Prefecture. Nagano Prefectural Police’s Yamato Dansuke was pursuing a “man” on a snowy mountain, and a bullet grazes his left eye and gets caught up in an avalanche. Ten months later, Dansuke, who miraculously survived, receives a report that a researcher at Nobeyama Observatory had been attacked by someone and rushes to the scene.
