Aoyama Gosho, the original author of Detective Conan, visits Detective Conan World, which is currently being deployed within Universal Studios Japan. We experienced two attractions that unfold in a completely original story with great excitement, working with the most popular characters, Conan, Kogoro, Amuro and others.
My first experience was Detective Conan Mystery Restaurant, a mystery live restaurant where you can fully enjoy “gourmet food and mystery.” You can experience the finest French cuisine while deciding who the culprit is.
There, Aoyama actually chatted with the “super realistic” Kogoro, Amuro, and Ran and the others, and smiled and said, “The food was delicious this time too! Ran-chan is so cute, Kogoro is also very good!” Also, when she experienced the spectacular action of Amuro and Ran right in front of her eyes, she expressed her expression with excitement, saying, “The action is the very scene from a TV anime!”
Next, you will experience the ultimate real escape game, “Detective Conan: The Escape: Prologue,” which is linked to the latest movie, “Detective Conan: One-Eyed Afterimage (Flashback),” which is scheduled to be released on Friday, April 18th, 2025. Just like in the original, it is an attraction where you use your own feet and brain to find clues, and use your detective badge to corner the real culprit, and unravel all the mysteries.
The time limit was just before the solution was resolved, and Aoyama was once again extremely excited, saying, “It was difficult, but solving the mystery was fun after all!” He also said, “The ending show was also very good. Eri was lovely, and Kogoro was especially cool. I was moved by the story.”
In addition to “Detective Conan World,” you can also experience “Detective Conan 4-D Live Show – Jewels of the Starry Sky” and enjoy the real world of Conan. “It was really fun all day! Please also look for the autographs I wrote,” he said, expressing his thoughts on each of the worlds of Conan, looking very satisfied.
As a surprise, Aoyama wrote his handwritten signatures and depicted “Conan, Uehara Yui” and “Morobushi Takaaki” on “Detective Conan the Escape” and “The Terrace in front of Lombers Landing” under the watchful eye of many fans. Each painting contains the words “wind” and “forest” as a message from “Conan.” Please look for it when you visit.
