The masterpiece selection of Gegege no Kitaro from the TV anime “Gegege no Kitaro” has been decided to be aired. It will begin airing on Fuji TV and other channels from 9am on April 6th, 2025. A new stage performance has also been announced.

“GeGeGe no Kitaro” began airing the first season of the TV anime on January 3, 1968. The sixth season of the TV anime was broadcast in March 2020, and it has been a popular work that has been loved for half a century.
The latest work, “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of the Birth of the Beast,” which will be released in November 2023, has been released. It is still fresh in our memory that it received high praise, including winning the Best Animated Picture at the 47th Japan Academy Awards.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Mizuki Shigeru, the creator of Gegege no Kitaro, the creator of Gegege no Kitaro, it has been decided that the masterpiece selection, Gegege no Kitaro, will be broadcast. Masterpiece episodes are aired one episode each week from the series that have been broadcast in the past. This will be a great opportunity not only for fans of the past, but also for younger generations who are first exposed to Kitaro.

The selectors for the masterpieces are a group of voice actors who have played the role of Kitaro in the past. Nozawa Masako from the first and second seasons, Toda Keiko from the third season, Matsuoka Yoko from the fourth season, Takayama Minami from the fifth season, and Sawashiro Miyuki from the sixth season will select their favorite episodes. I wonder how many episodes will be aired? Additional selectors are also planned, and expectations are high for further news.

The key visual for “Gegege no Kitaro My Loved All Time Gegege” has also been released. This is a newly drawn by Yatabe Toruko, the character designer for “Kitaro is Birth: The Mystery of Gegege,” and is a perfect selection of masterpieces, with past Kitaros surrounding Mizuki Shigeru. I would like to pay attention to the different appearances of Kitaro depending on the series.

In addition, a new performance of the performance, “GeGeGe no Kitaro 2025,” which was performed in 2022, has been decided. It will be held at Meijiza from August 2nd to 16th. Aramaki Yoshihiko will continue to play Kitaro, and Uesaka Sumire will continue to play Cat Musume. The Mouse Otsuka Akio, who is also active as a voice actor, was cast.

Miya Rurika continues to be active mainly on stage after leaving Takarazuka. Asano Yuko, who is celebrating her 50th anniversary as a talent career this year, will also appear. In addition, popular young actors will be supporting the film, including Hirono Ryodai, who starred in the stage play “Fullmetal Alchemist,” and Ueda Keisuke, who will appear in the stage play “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” series.
