“Ranma 1/2” Ranma, Akane and Shampoo gather together stylishly♪ Newly illustrated goods and photo spots! Pop-up held at Nagoya Parco

A pop-up shop for the TV anime “Ranma 1/2” has appeared at Nagoya Parco. Merchandise using original illustrations will be sold and photo spots will be available starting March 7th, 2025.
Ranma 1/2 is a fighting romantic comedy serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1987 to 1996 by Takahashi Rumiko, known for her work in Urusei Yatsura, Maizon Ikkoku, Inuyasha, RINNE of the Boundary, and MAO. It was made into an anime in 1989, but a completely new anime will begin airing in October 2024. Following the 1989 edition, the cast includes Yamaguchi Kahei as Saotome Ranma, Hayashibara Megumi as Ranma, Hidaka Noriko as Akane Tendo, and Sakuma Rei as Shampoo, which became a hot topic. The second season has also been decided.
The story begins with the father Saotome Genma, who was training in China, and his son Ranma, who came to the Tendo family. However, what appeared there was a giant panda and a cute girl. After training in China, Ranma had a strange constitution that turned to a woman when she was covered in water, and then turned to a man when she covered in hot water. These Ranmas involve the unique people around them and cry, laugh, and sometimes fall in love.
Saotome Ranma, Tendo Akane, and shampoos appear at Nagoya PARCO. The Ranma 1/2 POP UP SHOP, which will be held from March 7th to March 23rd, will sell not only newly drawn illustrations, but also original goods drawn by the ending staff member Kitamura Minami, and merchandise using scene photos.
Also, don’t miss out on photo spots that fans can look back on the anime, as well as special offers exclusively for buyers. An “illustrated cards” (5 types in total) will be distributed for every purchase of 2,200 yen (tax included).
“Ranma 1/2 POP UP SHOP” will be held from March 7th to March 23rd. The venue is the event space on the 10th floor of the South Building of Nagoya PARCO, and admission is free.
