The new anime “Hell Sensei Nube” will be broadcast on the TV Asahi nationwide “IMAnimation W” slot from July 2025. A key visual depicting the students’ Nube with a desperate expression on the face, as well as a book PV with a character’s lines, has been released. Additional cast members include Shiraishi Ryoko, Suzaki Aya, Kurosawa Tomoyo, Iwasaki Ryota, Furushiro Mon Shiho, Endo Aya, Kakuma Ai, and Morikawa Tomoyuki.

“Hell Teacher Nube” is an occult comic that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, based on the original work by Makura Sho and a manga by Okano Tsuyoshi, and boasts a total circulation of 29 million copies.

While trembling readers’ hearts with stories based on school ghost stories and urban legends, the brave figure of psychic teacher Nuno Namisuke, also known as Nube, who risks his life to protect his students from the threat of monsters and evil spirits, has gained popularity across generations. It was previously made into a TV anime from 1996 to 1997, and an anime theatrical version and an OVA have also been produced, and in 2014 it was also made into a TV drama starring Maruyama Ryuhei.

New information about this new anime adaptation was announced all at once during the live YouTube broadcast program “New anime “Hell Teacher Nube” Domori Elementary School 5th Grade 3 Open Class!” held at 8pm on February 28th. The key visual shows Nube protecting the students with a desperate expression.

With Domori Elementary School behind her, she opens a sutra and reveals the “demon hand” on her left hand, and shows her frightened expression on the students and teacher Ritsuko’s faces, which show a sense of fear and anticipation as to what kind of monsters and evil spirits will appear. Furthermore, I’m also curious about the two suspicious figures that can be seen above the building.

Additionally, additional cast members have finally been revealed. The students of Class 5, 3 will be starring Shiraishi Ryoko as Tatsuno Hiroshi, Suzaki Aya as Inaba Goko as Kurosawa Tomoyo as Hosokawa Miki, Iwasaki Ryota as Kimura Katsuya, and Furusato Shiho as Kurita Makoto as Kurita. In addition, the role of Takahashi Ritsuko, the homeroom teacher of Class 5, will be played by Endo Aya, Yukime will be played by Kakuma Ai, and the role of Nube’s biggest rival, Tamamo Kyosuke, will be played by Morikawa Tomoyuki. Comments were also received from each cast member.

In this PV, which was also unveiled, you can hear the lines of each character. Expectations for the main story are rising as the action of students who come to Domori Town, who seek help from Nube, a mysterious young man who seems to know Nube, Yukime, a girl who calls herself her fiance, and Nube, who unleashes the power of the “devil’s Hand” and stands up against the youkai.

In addition, information on the main staff was also announced, and it was revealed that Ogusa Yoshiki will be the series composition under director Oishi Yasuyuki, character designs Yoshiyama Yu will be the musician, and Evan Call will be the musician. Four staff members have also commented on the new anime adaptation.

Shiraishi Ryoko

I’m very happy to be able to play Tateno Hiro in Reiwa’s “Hell Teacher Nube”! thank you! There is a Ayu in the middle, so there is a sense of security that the shaft does not waver, and the setting is a warm yet tense setting. He has a strong sense of justice and is cool (? lol) and is thrilled around the scene. It’s broadcast late at night so I might be too scared to sleep… Stay tuned for the broadcast!

Aya Suzaki

This is Suzaki Aya, who will be the voice of Inaba Goko.
How could you imagine a future awaiting me when I was watching Nube from the time I was nibbling on TV every week? It’s truly a dream.
The cast is a truly generational generation! Many people say this, and the dubbing is also in a harmonious atmosphere.
I think this is a scary and interesting work that is truly scary for adults like me who lived with their youth, as well as little kids from Reiwa.

Endo Aya

I’ve had a fun recording with my friends who wanted to become Nube’s students at the time. Of course, I was one of them, but I never dreamed that I would become a colleague of Professor Nuno! The thing I have in common with Mr. Takahashi Ritsuko, who I play, is that he is so violent that he doesn’t like ghosts. We look forward to your kind and hard work Ritsuko-sensei!

Kakuma Ai

I remember when I was in elementary school, I used to play with friends showing each other how they could open their hands like the demons of Nube. I was surprised to see Professor Nuno as Yukime-chan. Please enjoy this “Nube” together, which can only be drawn now!

Morikawa Tomoyuki
