“One Piece” Luffy scores a shot! Straw Hat Pirates join together♪ One-night collaboration with the basketball team “Lakers”

“ONE PIECE” has been confirmed to be the first collaboration between the Los Angeles Lakers. Limited T-shirts and posters will be available for the Clippers match at Crypto.com Arena on February 28th, 2025, on one night. This time, the collaboration visual has been released.
“One Piece” is a manga about the marine adventure romance by Oda Eiichiro, which began serialization in issue 34 of Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha), released on July 22, 1997. It celebrated its 25th anniversary in July 2022. As of August 2022, the total number of copies of the comics worldwide has exceeded 510 million. A live-action version exclusive to Netflix worldwide is also available.
The anime produced by Toei Animation began airing in Japan in 1999. It marked its 25th anniversary on October 20, 2024. The One Piece Card Game has also gained enormous popularity around the world. The smartphone game “One Piece Bounty Rush,” distributed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, exceeded 150 million downloads worldwide in August 2024. On August 10th and 11th, 2024, “ONE PIECE DAY’24” was held at Makuhari Messe in Japan, and the largest event ever was held, divided into two areas: an exhibition area and a live area.
This is the first collaboration between the basketball team Los Angeles Lakers. Luffy and the Straw Hats will appear in the Clippers’ match at the Crypto.com Arena on February 28th. The released collaboration visual featured the Straw Hat Pirates wearing Lakers uniforms.
In the match, Luffy also unveiled an animation of basketball for the first time. Fans who come to the venue will also get exclusive collaboration T-shirts and original posters. In addition, a photo booth for “ONE PIECE Bounty Rush” will be set up in the main concourse within the Crypto.com Arena, so you can take special photos just for the day.
