It has been announced that Haikyuu the Movie: The Decisive Battle at the Garbage Disposal, which was released nationwide on February 16th, 2024, will begin streaming on March 3rd, 2025. You will be able to watch unlimitedly on each platform.
“Haikyu!!” is a sports manga by Furudate Haruichi, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2012. The passionate youth drama of high school students who are devoted to volleyball has become popular and is also considered a masterpiece of sports manga. In July 2020, the series was completed for eight and a half years, and the total number of copies of the comic, which has sold over 70 million copies.
The TV anime began airing on Mainichi Broadcasting System and TBS networks in 2014. The fourth season of the series, “Haikyu!! TO THE TOP,” was broadcast, captivated many viewers and gained fans.
And from February 16th, 2024, “Haikyuu the Movie: The Decisive Battle at the Garbage Disposal” will be released nationwide. It was then screened until August 18th, making it an unusual long-running hit that lasted six months. It has earned over 20 billion yen worldwide box office revenue, including Japan, and is a work that has sparked a whirlwind of “Haikyu!!” worldwide.
The main players are Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School, which have never had a sailor-blade exchanged on the official stage despite having practice matches. Finally, the fateful showdown begins on the big stage at Spring High School, and the two men are fighting fiercely.
