“Double push…!” Akagi’s new goods and “Sorry” Mukobuchi’s new goods are now available! Two Mahjong Manga Events held

POP UP STORE, which sells goods from the “two-marijutsu manga” manga called “Akagi” and “Mukobuchi”, has been decided to be held at Graveyard Gallery Nakano store and Graveyard Gallery ONLINE STORE from February 28, 2025. “Mukobuchi” will be exhibited until the first half of the show, and “Akagi” will be exhibited from March 8th to March 16th, the second half.

“Akagi: A Genius Who Falls into Darkness” is a grand mahjong saga by Fukumoto Nobuyuki, which changed the era of gambling manga. He created a new manga that depicts the psychological battles of gambling. Of the many spinoffs created from “Ten Tenwa Street’s Kaio no Otoko” by Fukumoto Nobuyuki, this is the masterpiece that boasts the longest serialization.

And “Mukobuchi High Rate Ura Mahjong Legend” is a manga by Tenshishi Etsuya, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024. It boasts 62 volumes of the oldest serialized series in the one and only mahjong magazine, Kindai Mahjong, and is famous as a masterpiece of mahjong taiga dramas. With the main character, Kugi, who boasts inhuman sparrow power, he is also known as the second protagonist, and Yasunaga Man, who is known as the secret protagonist. It depicts a mahjong group drama by the others.

This “two mahjong manga” that stands in “modern mahjong” with an incredibly popular and overwhelming worldview have finally arrived at the table, making the gallery at Nakano Broadway, a mahjong parlor. It brings the fans’ feelings to reality, “I wanted to try playing on a table like this!!”

The first half of the event, which starts on February 28th, will feature “Mukobuchi High Rate Ura Mahjong Legends.” And in the second half of March 8th, Akagi: The Genius Who Falls into the Darkness will appear.
Many original goods will be sold at the venue that fans will never miss out on, and that you can use as a charm at the mahjong table.

The Akagi merchandise features many rich characters and quotes that are very familiar to Fukumoto Manga, all designed in a variety of places. The lineup will likely be that fans will be muttering, “It’s double pushing…”, featuring Akagi and Washizu T-shirts and hoodies.

The T-shirt features famous quotes from the main character Akagi, “I’ll die anytime…beautiful…!”

There are also a wide selection of postcards, clear files, acrylic stands, and dotted keychains that recreate many famous quotes, proverbs, gold quotes and famous scenes that will make you cry. A lineup of exciting merchandise that brings you happiness and “no bones left after the match” has been added.

The “Mukobuchi” merchandise lineup is something that fans will never miss out on. It features Kui’s famous quote “Gomuru,” and features a T-shirt with Kui’s illustrations proudly placed on the back, as well as an acrylic stand that recreates famous scenes and a clear file.

The dot stick keychain, an item unique to mahjong manga, comes in a set of the main character, Kugi’s acrylic keychain, 1,000 sticks (full body) and 5,000 sticks (face). It’s a merchandise that could bring in demonic luck and could bring in good fortune.

In addition, a baseball cap with the logo of “Modern Mahjong” featuring both works has been released. Enthusiasts should definitely pick up this icon, which represents not only the mahjong world but also the history of young men’s manga.
