No. 885 “Okitsura” production story – Let’s get started!
Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
As I said last time, “The Girl I Fell in Love with in Okinawa speaks so much dialect that it’s too painful” is now on air!!
I don’t have time to think about where to start, so I’ll start with the opening!
I remember that the OP dance was a request from the original author, Egumi Sora, when it was made into an anime. “I really want the OP to dance,” he said. He also added, “I want it to be something that is full of Okinawa.”
So, this is the OP of this work. I did the storyboarding, direction, animation director, and layout for all cuts myself. In terms of on-site resources that come from running concurrently with the main story, in my free time I worked diligently to create background drawings, and at the same time, accumulated rough sketches of character poses and movements. I ordered the original drawings. Part of the animation direction was completed with the help of Mr. Shino (Kenka). The characters are all cute, so it was a painless and enjoyable job to draw, and I think it turned out as planned.
The theme song is HY-san’s “Daidai Daishiki,” and I thought it was a good song with a very catchy chorus.
So, first cut c-001 is my one-shot original drawing. I like Shisa’s loose character. We also did the rough sketches for c-002,003,004, and gave the original drawings to (Naoyuki) Yamamoto.
So, sorry (sweat), I’m going back to work, so I’ll continue next time.
