It has been announced that the Kyoto Animation-produced movie “Miss Kobayashi’s Maid Dragon” will be released on June 27, 2025. Along with this, the first key visual and special video have been released. Additional cast members have also been announced, with Daisuke Ono and Yuichi Nakamura returning from the TV series, and Shiori Sugiura will be the new voice actor for Iruru.

“Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” is a heartwarming sitcom based on the manga by Kool Kyoto, depicting the relationship between Thor, a dragon girl who by chance ends up working as a maid for Kobayashi-san, and humans.
The movie “Miss Kobayashi’s Maid Dragon” is a new movie following the first season of the TV anime produced by Kyoto Animation in 2017 and the second season “Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S” in 2021. , directed by Tatsuya Ishihara.

The first key visual released depicts a close-knit family with Kanna, Kobayashi-san, and Toru holding hands. Character designer Mirai Kadowaki’s drawings using colored pencils make the illustrations even more warm.

In addition, a special video has been released that has a different atmosphere from the comical images of the TV series, and has a disturbing and somewhat sad feeling as if the happy life of humans and dragons is being threatened. New characters also appear in the video. I’m looking forward to seeing more and more about what kind of characters they are and how they will be involved in the story.

Additional cast members have also been announced, including Yuki Takada as Elma, Minami Takahashi as Lucoa, Daisuke Ono as Fafnir, Yuichi Nakamura as Makoto Takiya, Emiri Kato as Riko Saikawa, and Kaori Ishihara as Shota Magado. It was revealed that he will continue to be in charge of the role from the TV series.
It has also been decided that the role of Iruru, which was previously played by Tomomi Mineuchi, will be played by Shiori Sugiura. Comments have arrived from each cast member.
