The sequel to the anime “Dorohedoro” will be released for 25 years with director Yuichiro Hayashi and MAPPA continuing to work! Second teaser visual released

It has been revealed that the sequel to the anime “Dorohedoro” will be produced by MAPPA under the direction of Yuichiro Hayashi, and is scheduled to be released in 2025. Along with the announcement, the second teaser visual hinting at further chaos has been released. Comments have also arrived from Director Hayashi.
“Dorohedoro” is a dark fantasy based on the manga serialized by Kyushu Hayashida in “Gessan” and other magazines for 18 years starting in 2000. The story depicts Kaiman, a man with amnesia whose face was turned into a lizard by magic, as he and his partner Nikaido fight to find the magician who cast a spell on him in order to regain his true face and memories.
This work, which has been loved for many years by its unique worldview and has gained enthusiastic fans both in Japan and abroad, was said to be impossible to film due to its shocking and chaotic content. However, the TV anime miraculously aired on January 12, 2020, and a sequel was eagerly awaited by Dorohedadz (a general term for fans who love “Dorohedoro”), and the production of a distribution series was decided, and there were cries of joy.
To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast on January 12th, the second teaser visual has been released. Interspersed with storyboards for the sequel, you can get a glimpse of the “chaotic” worldview. In addition, the sequel series is scheduled to be released in 2025, and some staff members have also been revealed. Yuichiro Hayashi will continue to serve as director from the previous work, and MAPPA will also be in charge of animation production.
