The winter anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS” starts on Saturday, January 11, 2025. In the first episode, “The Legendary Killer,” attention was focused on Sakamoto’s strength.

This work is a TV anime based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha) since 2020. A solid action story about a former legendary assassin, Taro Sakamoto, fights with his friends against approaching assassins in order to maintain a peaceful life with his beloved family.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Taro Sakamoto, the “strongest assassin” that all villains feared. Although Sakamoto was feared, he was also the “admiration” of all assassins. However, he quickly retired from being an assassin. The reason is that he fell in love at first sight with Aoi, a woman working at a convenience store he stopped at. As a result of getting married and blessed with a child, his smart appearance from his days as a killer has disappeared… I had gained a lot of weight.

Sakamoto is currently running a private store in a peaceful town. He was living a boring but happy life, but then his old junior colleague Shin appears and asks him to return to being a killer.

Sakamoto refuses, but Shin does not give up. In fact, the boss of the organization had instructed him to persuade Sakamoto to return as an assassin, and if he refused, he was ordered to assassinate him.

Shin, who admires Sakamoto, resists, but the boss’s orders are absolute. Deciding that “If someone else is going to do it, then I should do it,” and the next day, he visits Sakamoto again and attempts to kill him. However, even though Sakamoto has gained weight, his ability remains the same as when he was active. It was easy to stretch the thin.

Next, when Shin wakes up, he is at the Sakamoto house. Shin was moved when he ate a hot meal with the Sakamoto family. When he tells the organization to overlook Sakamoto, he is almost killed…

A desperate situation! …Sakamoto rushes to the place and annihilates all the members of the organization at once.

Sakamoto’s “strongest look” has received comments on SNS such as “So cool!” and “Sakamoto-san, you’re so cool!” The gap between the heartwarming daily life parts was also a hot topic, with comments such as “I was moved from the first episode,” “The scene where Shin touches the warmth of the Sakamoto family is the best!” and “It was heartwarming.”

The next episode, “VS Song Hee Bacho”, will be broadcast on January 18th. Sakamoto and Xin come to the downtown area to do some shopping and meet Lu Xiaotang, a girl who is being chased by men.
