Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
The latest work in the Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuu It will be released from January 17th. This time, the preview has been released, and information about the theme song by Kenshi Yonezu has also arrived.
“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” is a new Gundam series created by the first collaboration between Studio Color, which is responsible for the “Evangelion” series, and Sunrise (a production brand of Bandai Namco Film Works), which is responsible for the “Gundam” series. Under the direction of Kazuya Tsurumaki, who directed the “Evangelion New Theatrical Version” series including “Shin Evangelion Theatrical Version” released in 2021, Yoji Enokido will be in charge of series composition and Ikuto Yamashita will be in charge of mechanical design. Delivered by luxurious staff such as
The story begins when high school girl Amate Yuzuriha, who was living peacefully in a space colony floating in space, meets a war refugee girl, Nyaan, and becomes involved in an illegal mobile suit dueling competition called Clan Battle. Amate, who goes by the entry name Machu, drives GQuuuuuuX and throws himself into intense battles.
Around the same time, an unidentified mobile suit called Gundam, which was being chased by both the Space Force and the police, and its pilot, Shuuji, appear before her. And then, the world was about to enter a new era… and so on.
Ahead of the broadcast of the TV series, a trailer for the theatrical advance version of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX-Beginning-” has been released. The theme song has been decided to be “Plazma” by Kenshi Yonezu, and you can hear part of the sound source in this preview. I want to enjoy it with the fast-paced melody.
It was also revealed that the film will be screened at 52 IMAX theaters from January 17, 2025, the first day of release. The film will be shown in a total of 426 theaters, including IMAX screenings. Starting today, IMAX exclusive visual posters will be displayed at some theaters, so fans should definitely check them out.
