Theater company “Haikyu!!” will be performed in May 2025! “Cat and Crow” begins with this encounter – Nekoma High School cast also revealed

All information about the stage play “Gekidan Haikyu!! Encounter” from the volleyball manga “Haikyu!!” has been revealed. The Tokyo performance will be held at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stella Ball from May 17th to 25th, 2025, and the Osaka performance will be held at COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA WW Hall from May 30th to June 1st.
“Haikyu!!” is a volleyball manga by Haruichi Furudate that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2012 to 2020. The youth story based on high school volleyball gained popularity and became a blockbuster, with 45 volumes of comics and a total circulation of over 60 million copies.
The stage version of this work, the hyper projection play “Haikyu!!”, was performed from 2015 to 2021. The theater company “Haikyu!!” is a new stage version that continues this tradition, and is directed by Kenta Suga, who played the main character Shoyo Hinata in the play. The flag-raising performance was held in August 2023.
Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be released on December 16th, will reveal all the information about the second performance, “Gekidan Haikyu!!” Encounter”. This work depicts the encounter between the Karasuno High School volleyball team, to which Shoyo Hinata belongs, and Nekoma High School, a former rival from Tokyo.
The key visual features members from both schools. The cast includes Kenshiro Kato, who plays Shoyo Hinata, Seiya Wakabayashi, who plays Tobio Kageyama, and many other Karasuno High School members who appeared in the previous work.
This is the first information on the cast of Nekoma High School, with Joru Minato chosen to play the role of Kozume Tsubasa, and Seiya Omura chosen to play the role of Tetsuro Kuroo. Along with the information disclosure, the distribution of the performance commercial has also started.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public from 10am on March 16, 2025. Prices are 10,800 yen for S seats, 8,800 yen for A seats, and 4,800 yen for U-18 tickets (all seats reserved, tax included).
