“Ranma 1/2” Come to the cat restaurant♪ Shampoo, Ranma, Akane and others will welcome you in Chinese-style costumes! Collaboration cafe held at Shibuya PARCO
Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
A collaboration cafe inspired by the Chinese restaurant “Nekohanten” that appears in the TV anime “Ranma 1/2” will open for a limited time in Shibuya PARCO. We provide menus inspired by each character.
“Ranma 1/2” is a fighting game serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” from 1987 to 1996 by Rumiko Takahashi, who is also known for “Urusei Yatsura,” “Maison Ikkoku,” “Inuyasha,” “Kyoukai no RINNE,” and “MAO.” Love comedy. Although it was made into an anime in 1989, a completely new anime will begin broadcasting in October 2024. Continuing from the 1989 version, the cast includes Kappei Yamaguchi as Ranma Saotome, Megumi Hayashibara as Ranma, Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendou, and Rei Sakuma as Shampoo.
The story begins when the father, Genma Saotome, and his son, Ranma, who were training in China, come to the Tendo family. However, what appeared there was a giant panda and a cute girl. As a result of Ranma’s training in China, he had developed a strange condition in which he turned into a woman when he poured water on himself, and turned back into a man when he poured hot water on him. Ranma and his friends involve the unique people around them, and they cry, laugh, and sometimes fall in love.
The concept behind the “Ranma 1/2” collaboration cafe is “Nekohanten,” a Chinese restaurant where Shampoo works as a poster girl.
Inside the cafe, menus including tanmen served on Nekohanten’s original tableware as well as reproductions of scenes from the story and images of each character are available. It is a cafe where you can experience the world of “Ranma 1/2”.
“Nekohanten’s Tanmen”, “Genma Saotome’s Ankake Homme Fried Rice”, “Ranma’s Berry Mousse”, “P-chan’s Meat Bun”, “Ranma Saotome’s Raspberry Drink”, “Akane Tendo’s Violet Soda”, “Strawberry Shampoo” Some of the original menu items such as “Soda” have been announced. All the menu items are so cute that it’s a waste to eat them.
For each cafe menu item you order, you will receive one “original coaster” (11 types/random).
There will also be a goods shop attached. We have a lineup of goods to commemorate the opening of the cafe, including items with original illustrations of the cafe wearing Chinese-style costumes. In addition to the “Ramen Bowl”, there are also cute items such as the “Trading Mini Character Acrylic Stand” with deformed illustrations.
At the goods shop, each purchase of 2,200 yen (tax included) or more will receive a “square sticker” using the cafe key visual.
The collaboration cafe “Nekohanten” will be held at Shibuya PARCO for a limited time from December 27, 2024 to February 16, 2025 (closed on January 1 and 2, 2025).
