“Sazae-san” 1 hour special will be broadcast! The voice actors and visuals of new characters have been revealed for the first time in 39 years…

The anime “Sazae-san” began broadcasting on October 5, 1969, and this October marks its 55th anniversary. To commemorate such a memorable year, the week-long “Celebrating 55th Anniversary of Broadcasting Autumn Sazae-san Week” is being held from November 25th, and today, December 1st, the 55th Anniversary of Broadcasting of Sazae-san will conclude. A one-hour special titled “Commemorative Special” will be broadcast.
“Sazae-san Broadcasting 55th Anniversary Special” includes “Tara-chan Adventures”, “Masuo Becomes Independent”, “Wakame-chan and the Fairyland”, “Katsuo, Rival Appears!”, “Tama’s Patrol”, “Aru” There will be 7 episodes including “Namihei and Fune of the Day” and “Sazae is a Space Guide.” This episode spotlights each of the Isono family members: Sazae, Bonito, Wakame, Tarao, Namihira and Fune, Masuo, and Tama.
Among them, in “Katsuo, Rival Appears!”, as the title suggests, a rival appears to Katsuo. Katsuo sets a new long jump record in physical education class, but the next day he hears that a transfer student named Hoshimiya from the class next door broke Katsuo’s record. According to Kaori and Hayakawa, she seems to have a nice smile…that’s the story.
Hoshimiya-kun, Katsuo’s rival, is a new character who will make his first appearance in this one-hour special. This is the first time in about 39 years that a new character has appeared in “Sazae-san”, excluding guest characters and characters that only appeared in one episode. Hoshimiya-kun’s visuals and voice actor will be unveiled for the first time on today’s broadcast. Hoshimiya-kun, who will appear in the commemorative 55th anniversary year of the broadcast, is likely to attract attention.
In addition, BS Fuji will rebroadcast the documentary program “30th Anniversary of Machiko Hasegawa’s Death Special “Color” and “Words” – Beyond Time”, which aired in 2022, from 12 o’clock today. With actor Haru as our guide, we will focus on the manga, paintings, pottery, and diary written during her lifetime left behind by Machiko Hasegawa, the original author of Sazae-san, to paint a true picture of her. This will be a must-see documentary before the one-hour special.
“Sazae-san 55th Anniversary Special”, which marks the end of “Autumn Sazae-san Week”, will be broadcast from 6pm today. I would love to have a fun time with the Sazae family.
